Evangelism Explosion in Tanzania
In Tanzania, the Explosão de Evangelismo (EE) ministry was introduced through Baptist Church of Tanzania in 2000 at Dare es Salaam. Rev Ernest Sumisumi was the first pastor to have the EE training in his church with a team from Kenya. In 2002 he was invited to Mombasa for the Treinamento Explosão de Evangelismo and later another Training in 2003 at Quênia.
The desire and need for training grew leading to the next step in advancement of the ministry, by which interdenominational National Board of Directors was formed on 2016 and Rev Sumisumi was elected as the Chairperson of the Board followed by appointment of staff marking the beginning of Evangelism Explosion ministry in Tanzania.
The first National Director Rev. Duwau was appointed also on 2016 who served from 2016 to 2021. After that Pastor Simon Samwel Mesarieki was appointed by the Board to be the National Director on 2022 to date. Till now we have 22 Implementation Field Workers (IFW) in Tanzania
